Why hire a Public Adjuster

If you have a large property damage claim, you may need professional help to recover your full insurance benefits in a timely manner. Public adjusters can negotiate a claim settlement with your insurer on your behalf. Because they are experienced in dealing with claims and company adjusters, they can be very helpful in maximizing and speeding up your recovery.

Public adjusters do not work for the insurance company, but are contracted by claimants to handle the claim for them. They perform the same job functions as the adjuster you would be assigned, but they are not working for the insurance company you would be collecting from.

People hire public adjusters for a number of reasons. Sometimes, they are in a situation where they want their settlement quickly, and they feel that the insurance company may drag its feet on paying the claim. They may also feel that the amount of money that the insurance company is offering them for their property, loss of residence, or other coverage isn't sufficient, and would like an impartial professional who can decipher the insurance policy better than they could on their own.

NEW CLAIM

This is generally the best for the Insured, as not only do we prevent some mistakes from occurring, but we also do most of the work in documenting and packaging your claim for maximum benefit. Many potential delays, mistakes and "headaches" are thus prevented. This is usually done for a small percentage, and we are not paid until you get paid.

PENDING CLAIM

If you have been paid (or have received an offer) for a substantial portion of your claim, we can take over from that point. We re-document and cross-reference everything and usually find many things that were not originally included and other things that were not properly priced. We are paid only for additional money you receive.

RE-OPEN FILE OR SUPPLEMENT CLAIM

Florida has very good laws that usually allow you to re-open a claim if you were not fully compensated. We offer a FREE CLAIM AUDIT. We are paid only if we find areas of underpayment and/or items that were left out of your claim payment. You often have five (5) years from the date of your loss to file a supplemental claim.

CLAIM DENIAL

We have reviewed numerous claim denials and have found coverage for many for them. If however, we believe that the insurance company was right, we will so advise you.

APPRAISAL

We are frequently retained as “appraisers” under the terms of your policy.
